The applicant is requesting approval of a revised preliminary plan for Prairiefire. The mixed use development was originally approved in 2006, with the most recent approval by the City Council on January 9, 2017. This revised preliminary plan request is to reduce the overall square-footage in the development by 123,098 square feet. For the overall proposed square-footage, 2,164 parking spaces are required, and 2,718 are provided.
Oh, good. Improvements all around, then.

It's still going to have an ice rink? I assume that's the "Arbor Plaza" area. And the little retail building on the corner must be the Andy's Frozen Custard.

Those houses will have a great view of a parking lot.

Arbor Plaza is an ice rink
https://www.kansascity.com/news/busines ... 84109.html
The 100-by-120-foot rink — similar in size to the Crown Center Ice Terrace (at 105-by-105) — will be on the north border of 135th Street between Nall and Lamar avenues. It will host hockey and curling activities. Figure skating and ice dancing lessons will be offered in the winter. The rink also will offer public open-skate options.
Curling uses a 138 feet long space. Hockey uses 200x85 for NHL. An Olympic figure skating rink is a hair under 200x100. Line Creek is 185x85 so is slightly undersized but is still used for all three.

So this rink is too small to fit any of these uses very well, at least not for serious use.

Their labeling is nonexistent but it looks to be the square north of the yellow building
