I overhead a woman in her 50s on elevator at work discussing a 'staycation' at P&L that she and her husband did this weekend. I didn't catch everything but the gist of it was, they saw Fleetwood Mac at SC, booked a hotel room, did City Market Sat Afternoon, saw movie next night, went to Howl at Moon, picked up booze/eats at Consentinos and took it to their room.
She was pretty enthusiastic about it, 'one of our best vacations'. Was talking non-stop.
A trend? Maybe it should be. Maybe also take MAX to Plaza/CC/Union Station/Liberty Memorial to fill in daytime activities.

P+L is becoming a very nice leisure stay for someone from the Midwest. Compare it to Village West...
Add in some storefront retail and new hotel(s) and it gets much better.

You should do a reverse staycation on Strang Line in Olathe.KCPowercat wrote: My life is a vacation?

Sounds like a new Cordish advertising campaign. "P&L: Rediscover Kansas City."ignatius wrote: She was pretty enthusiastic about it, 'one of our best vacations'. Was talking non-stop.
