I don't care if it's MU or K-State in the Big12, OU is going to roll over either team

The north looks like it comes down to the K-State Nebraska game.

It looks like it is actually going to come down to the MU/Bandwagon St game on the 22nd in Manhattan.

I can't wait.

p.s. nice job taking out the Fuskers in Lincoln. You did MU a wonderful favor!

The way the offense was looking in the second half, the game at Arrowhead is shaping up to be OU's biggest hurdle. Bandwagon U East will have a hard time slowing down Ell and Sproles next week- but what do you expect when K-State keeps playing these directional schools?

"Bandwagon St" is my property, phxcat.....you can't use it....much less try to apply it to a team that has had wonderful support for the better part of a century. It just doesn't make any sense. Come up with something applicable...and accurate.

MU vs Bandwagon St for the North Title.

That's the goal! Bandwagon State is not applicable to Kansas State because K-State fans have also supported their school. It is true that there are more people supporting K-State in the area than in the past, but that is for two reasons- K-State has become much more the school of choice in JoCo in the 90's than it had been. The other is that people suppport a winner. You can call that bandwagonism if you want, but you can't blame the school! In fact, it should make you happy to see that K-State is bleeding the original Bandwagon U-Lawrence campus of some of its support and dollars. The fact remains, though, that K-State is the University of the People- always has been, and always will be. As such, the term Bandwagon State is innapropriate- it would be better to say that, rather than jumping on the bandwagon, people are coming home.

Now, having said that, I guess you are right to say that MU should not be called Bandwagon U either- As much as people try to believe otherwise, there is no reason for MU to have a bandwagon. Why would you want to jump on a bandwagon that has no wheels? The new name for MU will be Delussional U.

at least we attended the university we support. Educational value must not be there at MU unless you want to write in a newspaper.

There have been bandwagon fans to Kansas State but to discount loyal fans is stupid and insulting to alumni like ourselves....keep the bandwagon comments to the fans that deserve it, which is not here.

Maybe one day MU can get some bandwagon fans...of course that means they might have to go to a few bowl games IN A ROW or maybe a Final Four ONCE.

Don't worry, KSU has handed MU their WORST loss in bball and 2nd worse loss ever in football....i'd make up names for KSU if I were you too.

Let's not forget last year...the much hyped Brad Smith and his offense scoring 0 at home in a game they NEEDED to become bowl eligible.

Hey, now, everyone, let's all be friends. I actually kind of like Mizzou's perennial underachiever status, and sure, some of the more hardcore fans like to lash out, but I have to step in just because I like Columbia so much.

Heck, I cheer for Northwestern basketball (that's Evanston, IL, not Maryville, thank you very much), so all the MU, KU, or KSU fans can cry me a river about their losing ways. ](*,)

you misunderstand, kc. i[m not rippin the alumni...you know that cuz i've already told you that in prior posts.

i'm talking about the 90% of BSU fans that aren't alumni and didn't give two rat's arses about the program before Snyder arrived.

Dan...90% of our fans our not bangwagon fans....every fan I know has been a life long KSU fan.....

nobody's saying they don't exist but 9 out of 10 fans at KSU are not bandwagon fans...I'd say more like 1 out of 10.

there's a lot of youngins that never realized KSU had a football program before 88 or 89.

they think KSU always had winning records and went to bowl games.

most of the rest just didn't give a sheite about KSU prior to Snyder, just like nobody cared about the Chiefs before 87 or so.

both statements untrue.....

true not many showed up...being the worst football program in D1A football will tend to wear down your attendance especially in the middle of KS.

Chiefs did have down attendance years but so have every team in every sport in EVERY MISSOURI CITY....picking on the lean 80's is like me picking on STL losing a football team from bad attendance.
