My money is on Lew. He looks like a 1970s era professional wrestler.

This proved superiority forever until the next KU-MU game. I am still convinced Mizzou stinks.

I think Maitre D got it. It was fun to watch because it was close, but neither team played anything close to good basketball. OU would have beaten either team by 20 the way they played last night.
It's not the end of civilization, but you can see it from there.

The Mo Twins sucked last nite, but nobody "shouldered" a ref, the replays were clear.   The ref was being a pompous ass.   Some caller on 610 made a good pt on that: "If an older person bumps into a younger person, the older person always expects an apology."

Collins is still out of shape and that's why he struggles at the end of ballgames.   IMO.

Why are white players called "error free"?   Dunno....but Reed & Morningstar played 55 min and had 3 TO.   Collins & Taylor played 56 min and had 12.

KU 'meltdown'?  Or maybe KU just isn't all that good and got worn down on the road.

I can't believe MD would make excuses for the way those twins act. Guess they take on the personality of their coach. Out of control and disrespectful to the officials on the floor. Embarrassing.
I still can't rationalize how mu came back with as bad of shots as they were taking.

I just said nobody shouldered a ref.  Just correcting you on that one part.

ugly game.  mu couldn't make their shots, and ku couldn't hold on to the ball (though they made their baskets when they kept it).

ku gave it away at the end.  they were gassed, and mu finally started making some shots.  mu scoring 48 in the second half?!

not an impressive performance by either team.  obviously mu would never win at AFH with that sort of sloppy play.  i'm glad we eked out the win, but i dont think fans of either team should be very encouraged by that game.

as far as rushing the court, obviously in ku fans' minds mu loses no matter what.  if we lose the game, well it's because we are shitty.  if we win, and demonstrate any amount of pleasure in that win, we still lose b/c an mu celebration somehow underscores ku's historic superiority.

Disagree. We all know there is a way to walk by people and not lead into them. Obviously you are biased in this case. No way he didn't mean to at least 'brush' the ref. Don't be so myopic.

The 610 guys were dismissing it this morning as well.  Perhaps your purple-colored glasses are affecting your objectivity.  Like always?

610 is a mouthpiece for the KU AD... I cannot and will not listen to that station.  I guess they realized they only way to get a steady listener base would be to pander to the largest group of sports fans in Kansas City (KU).

Gosh, Twibell practically sucked Mizzou off the past 2 days.  Almost giddy they won.

610 does fill a KU void that 810 purposely leaves.

610?  Home of the jayhawks?  I am shocked.

Dumb mistake by whatever morris it was. Watch where you are going if you are that uncoordinated and really didn't mean to give a little bump.

He clearly did though. No matter, got a T out of it, so I guess that's where it stands. Players are a reflection of how they are coached.

No question - he should have just turned and apologized. Looked like the ref was waiting a second to see if he would. When he didn't - he got the T. At least, that's how I saw it.

Not sure what you're trying to get at regarding Self. Martin is an embarassment on the sidelines regardless of the results (which have been great this year). Haven't seen any KU players taking a leak on the sidelines, so maybe they have a little more respect for the game than you're giving them credit for.
If it doesn't have street-level retail, it's an abortion.

self acts exactly like martin on the sidelines. He's just not as scary looking at (ie not cuban I guess). Self gets T'd up, martin doesn't.

That ring he wears probably helps.

KU melted down in this one.  It's that simple.  You can't expect to get a technical and miss two free throws towards the end of the game and expect to win on the road against a hostile rival.  Missouri, despite poor shot selection, was tougher in the last 7 minutes which is when it really counts.  Congrats!

Side Notes:
1.  That 5 second call on the inbounds play for KU was CRAP.   You can watch the clock and barely 4 seconds tick off after the ball is even thrown in.

2.  What's the first thing they teach you in Football at Missouri......PICK YOUR NOSE ON NATIONAL TV!!!  Unbelievable

3.  Is it just me or is the "Zou Crew" one of the most lame names for a fan base?   Their shirts provided lots of laughs for us last night.

4.  Anyone else think that refs call jump ball or tie ups way too quickly?  They went both ways last night, but a couple of them were called before the other player could even react and try to pull the ball away.  Basically all you have to do is touch the ball and you'll get a jump ball. LAME!  That rule needs to go away....IMO.

That's how a jump ball works.
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.
