Seriously. How is there not a map available online? I was just looking for one. I want to go but I don't want to pay $5 if there aren't any buildings on the tour that I care to see.
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.

I figured 5 bucks will get me the goodies in the bag. Weird there isn't a list of places though.

Hmmm...have they charged before?  Last year I just drove around, stopped and went into the places I wanted to see.

First year for charging. Better than the alternative happening in other cities (no tour at all)

Really surprised they were able to get 28 properties on the tour.  Most properties are down to only a few remaining spaces to rent and much of the for sale is now rented.

Last weekend was St Louis's downtown homes tour and they charged $12 to see 12 properties and they don't provide transportation between the locations either.

If you haven't done the tour before, check it out.  It's one of the better entertainment values of the year.

Any thoughts from anybody?

Really liked the River Market townhomes...will look a lot better once there are more than the 1 building....I liked the 1 bedroom better than the 2 bedroom (other than the pimp party deck in the 2bed)

Most humorous line from a sales person had to be at the Market Station...something to the effect of "it's like being in the suburbs but plopped in the middle of the city" when discussing their amenities.  I quipped back "you trying to turn people off to these places?"

Didn't get to many places today....nothing in the crossroads...maybe tomorrow.

What was in those $1,000 coupon packs they were advertising on the radio?  Anything good?

My favorite, $10 off at Bristol.  Haven't looked through all of them yet, though.

Oh, and $5,000 off of a condo at SF Tower.  Guess that brings it up to $6,000.

we really liked river market townhomes, city homes, union carbide, and some of the revamped spaces at 909 walnut. market station was interesting, but it certainly is not for me (too big). the rest is yesterday's news, but some decent bargains.

i wish someone would build those river market townhomes in the crossroads... i would put money down right away. that's actually my favorite project right now -- although jury is out on the finishes -- because it doesn't require condo financing.

I'll like the river market townhomes once a whole row is built and feel a bit more urban.  As they were they reminded me of Arrested Development.

I don't remember which building it was but I was rather impressed with it.  It had a penthouse up on the 14th floor and had recently sold for $650k, the building was over by the library somewhere.  The penthouse also had the coolest opening windows I have ever seen.

My only compalint were the snotty residents that we ran across in the elevator and hallways.

Sounds like the right place.

Edit: the snotty residents weren't in this building they were in a couple different ones on the north tour.

As a former loft dweller, I can attest that the parade of urban tour folks clogging up the elevator, talking loudly in the halls and what not can quickly become aggravating.  If you are someone trying to sell a unit I am sure it is great; otherwise its a bit like having to involuntarily participate in an open house showing.
