Residential tower for Penn Valley park?

Post by GRID »

Crown Center is booming and with the Fed Reserve and IRS and SH&B moving in and probably more, how long do you think it will take for someone to propose a good sized residential tower around the park?

Besides Kirkwood which is only 13 floors, there are no highrise res towers going up in KC. Most cities are building new towers. I know KC is not building any because we are so busy converting vacant buildings into residential, but I think Crown Center is ripe for a high profile tower in the next year or so.

Thoughts?

It makes sense to me. But I think a better idea for a location would be farther to the east. Like near 20th & Cherry. That's kind of a quiet neighborhood right now, and it possible that they woulnd't have it, but it would be an excellent location for a new highrise.

Cheesman Park in Denver is surrounded by both high rise and smaller apt. and condo buildings. The views of the park and the denver skyline are amazing, and many of the residents use the park constantly. A residental tower or two would help keep Penn Valley busy.
Are you sure we're talking about the same God here, because yours sounds kind of like a dick.

Crown Center doesn't want to be involved in residential development, that's why they have never built anything else. Now that Union Hill has proven to be successful, they have talked about bringing in someone with residential experience to build some stuff over in the southwest part of Crown Center. They are probably still waiting to see how the market develops and if demand stays high.
