KU Med will change name Monday

The game is the same, but the name has changed.

As of Monday, the hospital formerly known as KU Med will change its
moniker to the University of Kansas Hospital.

The new name does not reflect any change in ownership or governance of
the hospital, officials said in a written release. Rather, the new name
was chosen to reduce confusion between the hospital and the nearby but
separate KU Medical Center, which includes the education and research
functions of the schools of medicine, nursing and allied health.

Since 1998, the hospital has been separate from the University of Kansas
governing system.
There is no fifth destination.
