Up front cost, probably similar, maybe higher. Long term maintenance, fractional compared to even 5 years ago.

Because it's stupid
It is terrible and at what point do we call it art? It's three LED screens with the same 12 year old video of people flying through them. I guess terrible art is still art, but that art project needs to go away.

Does art have to entertain the viewer or is information enough ?
Any artist out there? What is the intention of your art?
Alot of people don't like diversity. It makes them uneasy.
Sounds like an upgrade to me. Should be programmable and very artsy. Even possibly interactive with cell phone.

The problem with using tech in art is that you limit its life, both culturally and technologically.

That whole area could use a rethink.

If art doesn't challenge you then it's just entertainment. The art at Sprint center certainly was challenging.

Maybe they could replace the flying humans with those old Flying Windows that used to keep text-burn off computer monitors.

Or old episodes of The Jetsons.

It's not much to see. A new bigger crane did show up today. Most of the sidewalk is blocked. The other day they had a sidewalk reroute to walk underneath another crane on the P&L side.

It’s alot easier now when Texas isn’t there anymore trying to make everything go to Texas. Expect more of this as long the Big 12 stays intact.
