Kymani Marley (Bob's kid) is the opening act of Van Halen. Very odd.
Wow, I can't say I see the connection there.

Has anyone informed The Star or the City Council?

Something must be done.

I thought this was kind of a big deal when I saw the full page ad on page A22 of the Star last night. Kind of suprised it hadnt been mentioned on here yet...

BILLY JOEL
DECEMBER 6
TICKETS ON SALE NEXT SATURDAY, 10 AM ...

This would have created an even bigger overall opening night buzz than the EJ concert, IMO. I can hear the whining about not being able to get tickets already...

Sold out, but you can get tickets from Ticketmaster's "resale" operation for just under a grand.

It does not say anything about the Billy Joel concert on the SC web site. They really need to keep it up better than they are.

The way it looked on the ad it the tickets were on sale next Saturday, unless there were enough presales to sell out.

That would be classic the way things are going.  :x

I would bet they (the evil scalpers  :D) would get close to opening night EJ concert money for the real piano man, if not more.
Think ahead.

This seems like the biggest get yet for the arena.  completely unique concert not on a tour.  Somebody told me this could expand to 3 nights of shows.

Sprint Center website shows Garth Brooks, plus my wife is freaking out.  I guess that confirms it for me at least.

The first 500 patrons at Danny Edward's new place had first dibs, 20 tix max.  Doesn't leave much for the rest of us.

I heard Ticketmaster is sending out special operations manual for all outlets on how to handle the Garth on sale because of all the recent issues with Hannah Montana.

The last time Garth was in KC he sold out 4 shows in Kemper.  Of course we had to sell out the first show first, then the second, third, and then fourth.  Had many tickets buyers in line and knew there was going to be multiple shows so when we got to the behind stage tickets I gave the ticket buyers an option to wait until the next show went on sale - and they were sure happy about that.  There was a limit of 4 tickets but all the buyer had to do was go back to the end of the line and get more with another purchase.  Of course, at that time there were not internet sales to worry about.  And the sale was cash only.
I may be right.  I may be wrong.  But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

I also heard the Garth shows will be cash only at the outlets.
