P&L will blow this out of the water. There is not enough "mixed use" in this area. Very few dining, entertainment options and it's kind of far from the heart of downtown and other downtown attractions. It's building up in a hurry with mid and high rise condos and hotels, but I'm not sure it will rival the vibrancy aspect of downtown KC where we will have an entertainment district with major venues and the CBD all surrounding the district in a nice compact area.

it is TX...they know how to do it big.
I don't think we'll have the same amount of sexy big screens and scrolling text bars but overall I'll take P&L....from what I've seen/heard about Victory.

One thing that sticks out to me, is that the retro style arena dosen't really fit in with Victory Park's new wave architecture.
IMO

Are there going to be
any big screens at P&L? If so, that would great...even if it's just one!

Aren't there a couple planned for outside of the Sprint Center and/or NABC HoF?

Either these are ugly photos or this is an ugly place. Is this wasteland a Cordish wasteland?-

There are more photos that I'm trying to upload, but I am having problems with Imageshack.

Wasteland is a very good word. This has a very RoboCop feel to it. A futuristic wasteland.
And no...it's not a Cordish project.

video screens should be on a few blocks within the P&L as well as the art project along Sprint Center.

Hopefully that won't be just a continuous loop of people jumping on trampolines. Hopefully it will show something else.

Maybe part of the time, such as weekend evenings, it could run clips from concerts of local bands. Let people know that not every band is from elsewhere. Of course, the bands would have to pony up to have someone film them.

^The picture of the American Airlines Center doesn't look very urban.

No, God also created them because the dead ones make great photos.
