Anyone know what's shaking on the empty lot accross from Coffee Girls?  Looks like they have poured footings or a foundation there on the corner.  It doesn't look big enough to be much of a building but is significant enough to peak one's curiosity.  I would Kiva it but I don't know the address. 

i've been wondering the same. it's very likely that the space is owned by one of the crossroads real estate triumvirate: accardo, nicholson, or leavitt. other than that, it's a mystery. i would love to see all of those angled lots along southwest blvd. host some innovative structures.

is this the southwest corner of central and southwest boulevard?
if so, it looks like its owned by Tom Levitt, and its going to be an advertising sign.

Scope of Work 
Install 32 ft tall double faced outdoor advertising sign 200 sq ft west face and 180 sq ft east face per plans reviewed for code compliance. Sign is permitted as allowed by ordinance no. 060865 because it is less than 300 sq ft in area and will advertise businesses in the commercial area within 500 feet of the sign, See Related Documents link. 

Damn, not another billboard.  Arrrrrghh.

I hope it is at least up off the ground - I have to turn left out of that intersection every morning and it is a bitch as it is I don't want a stinking billboard blocking the view down the street. 

i don't know tom that well, but i would bet that it will be something that is promoting the crossroads galleries or small businesses. i have an email out to the association to find out more, since i missed our last meeting.

confirmed: it's not a billboard. tom leavitt, who owns buildings nearby, is putting up a sign to promote the tenants or available space nearby.
