This lot has been talked about for awhile but not sure any solid idea ever was thrown out there.
Great site for an iconic river market entrance project. Too bad the power substation sites between it and 2nd.

Wasn't that a site being discussed for a parking garage at some point?

I went last night. I'll give it another chance, but one of the few redeeming qualities for it would be proximity to my condo and drink prices. Seems to have a little bit of an identity crisis- it doesn't know what it wants to be. Sports bar, dance club, or neighborhood bar? Who knows.

Yeah I was underwhelmed but I had went when before the grand opening so I was going to give it some time.

The back patio area has potential. Was it a bar before? Seemed a bit like they just opened in an existing space without much work. I went around happy hour last weekend and the tables both inside and outside were pushed around the perimeter which I thought was odd. Is there dancing later in the open middle? That would explain it.

The back patio for sure is its redeeming part. And I met up with some friends and yea, seating was for a dance floor setup, yet they have EDM DJ's, while also playing sports on the 4 TV's and just doesn't have the vibe of being a club.droopy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 8:25 am The back patio area has potential. Julita's food truck (very new) is planning to be in the alley behind Block 15 on Sundays. She makes really good fried chicken and her other stuff is good, too. Give it a try.

Oooh I'll for sure have to give that a go!

I think there might have been a bar in there back in the River Quay days in the 1970s.droopy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 8:25 am The back patio area has potential. Was it a bar before? Not sure if it’s been posted already, but a sign for “Enzo” has been put up where Bo Lings used to be.

dang, I enjoyed that Bo Lings, as Bo lings is still my favorite Chinese place in KC. Would like for a more casual/upscale Chinese place to come back to the RM at some point. I know there is a Vietnamese place in the RM stalls, more take out with a few tables and on the corner of Grand & 5th is a restaurant. But they are not Chinese cuisine per say like Bo lings.

From what I remember it was mostly geared towards takeout but maybe a few seats? No full bar, etc.
