Bally’s proposed a new casino in Richmond VA. The hotel tower (left) is about the same key count as proposed in KC. Maybe a similar design could be in store for us?

would be cool to have something like down along the river. Would create and spot on the East Bottoms. But I always wonder how the East bottoms will really take off while all the industrial/chemical buildings around and of course the very active railroad yard & systems that cuts of access multiple times during the day. Not so much by the Casino and Northside of Front street but everything south to the bluff will encounter that issue at some point.

Would rather see it seamlessly merged/fused into hirise residential that happens to have a ballpark, in loop or anywhere along (current/proposed) streetcar line rather than outskirts of downtown.
why couldn't it be along half the bus lines in the city?

reminiscent of that large white/orange installation at the nelson in the bloch building main hallway, except that installation is awesome and this is... fine

I want to see it in person before I judge it, those renderings are low enough quality that it's hard to get a good feel.

I don’t care what anyone says here. This will beat a tacky steamboat any day.

Well, when you put it that way, you’re 100% correct. Anything is better than the tacky situation now.

Slap an AutoZone sign on the side and call it a day.

Looks like the spiky design will still be part of the plan. Notice it in the background of the new render

I don’t see a problem with this. It’s all about bringing the casino’s look up to date and keeping everything in line. The spiky “front door” would look out of place without other updates.

Port KC has funded the study of the 2 docks at the end of the town of Kansas bridge. Funds will determine if the docks are structurally sound enough to be renovated/re-used.
