I thought Tejada was basically done for the year, going on the 60 day DL.

That's about the most optimistic thing I've heard you say about the Royals in a while. The thing that impresses me is the Royals are winning w/o key players. It may or may not last, especially with the next two games. But you have to give these guys some credit. They have the never say never attitude. Go Royals.

Attitude is a good thing, but hitting is probably more important in the long run.

It"s a fair point. If your staff is pitching lights out, it only takes 1 or 2 guys to carry the team. (for a while)

Turns out that Tejada's "injury" is a really a 105 game suspension for popping hot for Adderall twice.

Where In The Lineup Is Chris Getz? continues. Batting 8th today. Batted leadoff in yesterday's opener, 9th in the nightcap. I'd put money on 7th or 1st tomorrow.

The story on MLB.com makes it sound like he was injured AND using.

Tonight is the worst matchup for us in the series. Stealing a win here would be huge. A Wade Davis late season turnaround would be huger.

So, we'll turn to Chen for the most important game of the season thusfar. Dude has been nails. Crazy how important Sunday is for staying alive in this race.

Here's hoping Davis settles down and can put together at least a few scoreless innings. Chen has been off the charts ridiculous, so I have to wonder how sustainable that is. I'd really like to see the Royals win 4/5, but 3/5 isn't the end of the world. 2/5 might be classified a disaster, though.
