I'd be a miracle if the Pitch has enough advertisers to be around for a best of '09 endorsement.

Visited my second time tonight --

1) the city very much needs to install some of those DO NOT ENTER signs at 13th Street and Main; cars on Main try to turn eastward down 13th, as there are no conspicuous Do Not Enter signs right now, and I'm kind of in awe of the idiocy of the traffic people or whoever's in charge at this oversight. Looks like a few car accidents waiting to happen. When I was on the sidewalk Tuesday evening I saw cars turn the wrong way onto 13th and then have to reverse awkwardly when they saw they were going the wrong way, causing traffic to get kind of screwed up when they have to reverse back onto Main in the midst of moving traffic.

2) the chicks shopping at this grocery store are in general a lot hotter than any other store I've seen.

3) garage parking for groceries is seriously not even a hassle -- I can see how it might be intimidating if you've never done it before, but you'll get used to it.

KCPowercat wrote: Well I think its pretty obvious why it happens, I just find it cast extra negative light on this particular store. It shouldn't get a pass because its downtown but also it shouldn't be held to higher public criticism either, agreed?

And no, I don't want a thread about every grocery store in the city complete with complaints.
Haven't been and probably will never go there.  Now whether people want to complain here is up to them.  But if they really are concerned about this store instead of complaining here let the store's manager know what the negative experience is.  Then something about the situation just might be done to correct it.

While you are at it why not let the store manager know when things are going right.
I may be right.  I may be wrong.  But there is a lot of gray area in-between.

Why do you even post in the P&L or Downtown threads?

It is part of the city so why not.

Besides, given the amount of time I spent downtown during my time of work does give me some say.  I am a taxpayer in this city that also gives me some say.  And there are probably a few other reasons.

Next dumb question.

Q:  do you have an opinion that is not based on the downtown you remember from 20 years ago?

Of course you have a "say."  My question is, why do you time out of your day to get on a pro-development message board for the purpose of espousing anti-development rhetoric.

Legitimate question.  I mean kcrag has plenty of other forums in which you would be perfectly happy.  Why waste your time in the Downtown and P&L threads?  It is obvious that you haven't been DT in 20+ years and it is also quite apparent that you have no intention of returning.

Isn't there some sort of law against putting that much expertise all in one room?

we're hoping to make a cheesy home movie about it at some point and then beg for people to tell us how great it is.

A:  I am dt more than you think.  At the same time reading this does keep one somewhat up to date with what is going on.
