Good Lord - I've heard about this - cat juggling! Stop! Stop! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Good. Father, could there be a God that would let this happen?

Kansas City really needs a "pizza in a cup" place.

In QH, I rent : D Tired of the hassle of houses, I'm just not that do-it-yourself home improvement, mow the lawn on the weekends, and be sure to weedwhack and spray guy.  Guess that's what 2 years of owning an oversized backyard with a swimming pool and deck does to me... drives me back to the renter lifestyle : )  Will miss the big tax refunds though...

If my credit was better, I'd have thought about buying a condo, but HOA dues are expensive in a lot of places, there's no patio for me to grill up steaks, and it just seems like a lot of the condos in downtown are just way too pricy for not enough space and amenities.  I remember visiting Wallstreet Tower on that weekend there was a big newspaper section and all the places were open to look through, and it was like $350k for a 1000 sq foot condo on the 9th floor or something.

I will have to try 22nd and Summit for the mexican stuff Chef was talking about.  Only places I've been so far are City Market, which my g/f I walked to no problem when the weather was a bit warmer in January and the seemingly infamous QH Supermarket.  I actually bought a card there and I never buy cards, weird but kinda handy I guess.  Just seems like stuff is a little pricy in there, but I guess that's what you can do when you're the only one around.  I'm actually considering joining a bank on the sole criteria that they have no fees on that Supermart ATM lol...

As for the market, it rocks.  Can't beat $6 T-bones.  But I'm not buying any more of those salad bags that are 3/$1... something was off about them.  Love the guy with the spices in the mediterrean market I think it is... the cayenne has been really tasty, it's totally changed how I view tuna mac  :D

I love dropping in there to see what weird international soccer is on the TV.  I hung out and watched some... I can't even remember what country it was... soccer for awhile..

stay on broadway til 20th, take a right on 20th, then a left on summit. start heading south, there are little hole in the wall places all up and down summit from 20th all the way to la bodega, where, californias is also, and they too sell stuff, but literally, most of the places along summit look like homes, because, they double as homes. but they sell some good shit, and all most ALL of it is stuff you cannot find in grocery stores

yeah, i knew the ramirez family bailed, i just did not know the new name of the digs, i was actually suprised, went in there for a good ole taco, this was a first friday in 04, and i was like wtf??

settled for duck paella. real good though.

man, californias was SOOOO much better when it was a dive at 21st and summit, when it was a little hole in the wall place, once they expanded, it has never been the same. probably why they bailed.

it actually is. when californias moved, their food was good, but not as good. this place had a real latin american feel to it with regards to flavors and combinations, different paellas and what not. shellfish, fresh no less, stuff like that.

and they had some killer desserts, plantains foster..........yummmm

You're closer to pay for your traffic ticket, living downtown.
If you declare bankruptcy the western district courthouse is right there.
If you get a divorce, just walk to 12 and Oak to the courthouse.
If you get thrown in jail , your downtown buddy can bail you out that night.
