Yeah. High humidity with pleasant temperatures are just fine with me.

I was on the plaza when they went off, it's funny watching the locals just continue what they are doing like drink coffee at starbucks and dine at classic cup (outside) while the obvious out of towners were rushing to shelter.  There was a Japanese family that was actually running down 47th (they take those sirens seriously  :D).

anyone else getting freezing rain yet? Its coming down as a nice steady rain here in Pendleton Heights, and iciciles are already forming on the iron fence, the trees and the power lines. Lets hope it doesn't get worse. Had a root canal this morning, so I'm home for the day, thank god!

We had some lightening and thunder with the freezing rain in OP about an hour ago.  I've seen thunder-snow before but not thunder-freezing rain.

Icicles on trees, and pellets on the ground.

I should have ridden my other bike to work today.

On the plus side, as a telecommuter, I don't have to deal with this crap.

We had a lot of sleet earlier in Lawrence, but now it's changed over to snow.

Sigh. One of the four times a year that KC has weather. Just drive carefully, folks.

That said, I'm definitely taking the bus tomorrow.

Can't wait to get home and spend the evening with the blue glow of the TV and the soothing dulcimer voice of Katie Horner.

This weather fucking sucks to drive in... That's all I have to say...
