Nah, there wasn't one at Branson Landing. The Branson one is on 165 at The Falls. Where it has been forever.

Nope, there was one on the water at the Landing which opened in 2010. The one on 165 closed a couple of years ago shortly thereafter. From what I can tell the Landing location closed with the Tanneycomo flooding last year and never reopened.

Looked up the SS website and no Missouri locations are listed.

Ikea to Open in Kansas City

Swedish furniture store IKEA will announce plans Thursday to open a store in the Kansas City area. The store will be built in Merriam, at the southeast corner of I-35 and Johnson Drive, at a currently vacant shopping center. Official plans will be announced at a briefing Thursday morning. Fox 4 will have coverage during the day on Fox 4 News and at Fox4KC.com.

As someone who lives in midtown, the location is almost as good as the news that IKEA is coming to KC. And...suck it, St Louis!!

I'm setting aside my Missouri bias on this one--or at least trying to do as much. This is a plus for everybody, and thankfully it wasn't built in Olathe. It's actually somewhere that most of us (with cars, *grumble*) can visit without packing provisions.
