Looking forward to it. I've registered on the website and have Android app loaded, ready to go. The main website says coming in June and the twitter thread says July. Any specific date yet?

Okay, the official site from Bcycle is now up and KC now shows up on the Bcycle Android/iPhone app. Can now signup and get a pass. Stations will be installed by last week of June and service should be up 1st week of July.

Am now signing up for annual pass. Go for it... use it or lose it.

Official Bcycle site...
Kansas City B-cycle | Kansas City Bike Sharing Program | B-cycle | bcycle.com

Android app...

iPhone app...
App Store - B-cycle

Edit: Signup says they take Amex but it didn't work. Had to use Visa.

Sounds like July 3rd might be the kickoff day, or shortly after. They need help with riding 90 bikes from a N KC warehouse to the 12 stations...

I saw a couple of guys riding down Main yesterday on B-Cycles (perhaps taking them somewhere to show off, they were dressed quite nicely). It warmed my soul on an otherwise disappointing alternative transport day in KC.

On the Android Bcycle app, you can see the number of open slots for each station. If you have Android/iPhone, get the free app, see links above. You don't have to signup to use it.

This city guide along MAX Orange line is now updated with Bcycle stations. Feel free to share...

Is cool to see how big each bcycle station is. nice they are all at least 9 slots. biggest being 15

Yeah, I noticed that too. I wonder if slots are modularly added given the various bike slot counts. You'd think it's designed so they can just add extra slots as needed rather than forklift entire stations with specific slot count.

So what is involved in adding stations? say Columbus park or Westside or the Manhattan/metropolitan condos wanted to add a station. do they just have to sponsor it with the required funds?

Sounds like anyone can sponsor... a company, org or neighborhood association. Just need to come up with enough every year to support a station.

Edit: Looks like they are taking a different approach with KC...
