Oh ok, yes now I see, I wasn't reading into the Jayhawker /Tigers rivalry.KCPowercat wrote: I wasn't necessarily speaking to your exact post. This ku v mu stuff constantly goes down to slavery and I think its sick.
I'm sure there is a ku fan that throws around "slavers" that has some slavery skeletons in their family closet.....should that person today get the same treatment?

Ouch! I'm sorry, that sucks. Are many K-State fans feeling the same or were most of them already in New York?KCPowercat wrote: Thanks snowstorm. No bowl game for kcpowercat.

Not sure. Looks like JFK and Laguardia flights are going through today but mine was to Newark and nothing was getting there today and next possible was the 1st. Got my money back at least.AllThingsKC wrote: Ouch! I'm sorry, that sucks. Are many K-State fans feeling the same or were most of them already in New York?

Well, if it makes you feel any better, Mizzou is down 17-10 at halftime.
No matter who wins tonight, I may not post until 4 or 5pm tomorrow because I'm going to be dog tired.

And in the end, Mizzou got Mizzou'd.
Oh well. At least we beat Kansas in attendance as the 53,400+ was the largest attendance ever for the Insight Bowl.

Technically, you and Iowa beat Kansas and Minnesota.AllThingsKC wrote: And in the end, Mizzou got Mizzou'd.

The call shouldn't have been overturned with the evidence provided. That said, I think most people would not rule it a catch upon seeing the replay without knowing the call on the field. Very tough to end the game on that note, but then again, they could have also stopped Iowa on defense.
The takeaway from this game... the Big XII sucked this year.

This was a visible on replay too.
Gabbert, has a bazooka of an arm, but another year in college wouldn't hurt him. I liked the one illustration of the throw he made using the Pythagorean theorem.

Charlie Casserly on the NFL Pregame show said he expected Gabbert to be the guy whose name skyrockets up draft boards between now and the draft.

Why are you concerned? And why is complementing a QBs abilities talking about a call (that was reviewed) in a game smack.KCPowercat wrote: Seriously noname bowl ending smack?
How about hypocrisy, the what's the name bowl, Kansas State is going to--didn't even exist until this year--and you want to call the bowl Missouri went to no name. I guess the fact that KState qualified--instead of Notre Dame--to get the nod to go to the, what's it's name again?
Need anymore smack?

You must have confused me with someone who thinks the Pinstripe is some sort of elite bowl. Understand your confusion.

I do have to fault Snyder for his fake FG call. Those three points would have come in handy.

Oh KSU did a ton of things effort and coaching wise that cost them that game....no KSU fans think that one call "cost" the game but that doesn't excuse the official.

Re: 2010 - 2011 College Football Season
Powercat, I am sorry that it had to end like that. I have never seen anything like that before. I have to wonder if those Big 10 refs were somehow out to screw over the Big 12 because that was a horrible call. I hope that kid doesn't feel bad.
Another thing I have never seen before was the chaos at the end of the Tennesee/North Carolina game. THAT WAS CRAZY! The officials announce that there is no time left on the clock, then announce that the game is over, the teams rush the field, they had fireworks in celebration, the coaches shake hands, only to have the refs come back and say there was 1 second left on the clock. Crazy. Then, in 2 OTs, the game is decided, the fans are disappointed and coaches shake hands again.
Also, because of that game going into 2 OTs, it kept the Nebraska game off ESPN until midway in the 1st Qtr. Then, in the 2nd Qtr ESPN kept cutting away from the Holiday Bowl to bring updates from UCONN women's basketball?!?!?!?!?!?! WTF? Oh, at the UCONN women didn't overshadow Mizzou's Bowl game.
