What a great way to put a cap on a great run. Perhaps the fact that the game was this exciting and is an automatic qualifier for the Champions League will eventually mean there is more press about it, or that it is covered by someone other than GolTV. So far, the USA has not caught on to these concurrent tournaments like other nations do.

Good to see them get off a losing stretch and rally back.

Graham Zusi and Matt Besler were called up to the US National Team. Roger Espinoza was called up to the Honduras National team.

Also, we clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win. We probably have one anyways as it's almost impossible for anyone outside of the top 5 to catch any of the top teams.

That was the best game I've been to at LSP. The atmosphere was exactly what a rivalry game should be. We were in the south stand, near an obnoxious contingent of Fire fans and spent the entire game trading insults and obscene gestures with them. In the second half a kid, probably 10 or 12 years old, showed up with a brass trombone and played it more or less directly into the ears of the Fire fans. Awesome night. And it didn't hurt that SKC had the ball 60% of the game.

Not technically about SKC -- Roger Bennett, of the excellent Men in Blazers podcast, is going to be in KC for the USA-Guatemala qualifying match. I'll be interested to hear his opinion about LSP and the level of footy fandom in KC. He's already mentioned that he plans to visit KCK's other main tourist attraction, OK Joe's.

It is becoming laughable how messed up parking can be handled in a strip mall next to a 80 acre grass field specifically designed for parking.

Love the stadium but pretty inexcusable how they handle a crowd.
