that was one opinion but I was reading more about it and didn't seem that it's totally dead. Now with KS approving I bet MO gets it done.

Always thought using sports betting for facility funding was a smart play. Is that the idea in MO too?

If Missouri doesn’t jump on this they’ll be so screwed.

Imagine some Saturday college weekend P&L courtyards focused on gambling. That would be pretty fun.

The big takeaway nobody is seeing is that Kansas already becomes 10x more enticing to the Chiefs now simply because they allow gambling. Teams make money off that.

You think I want to predict / stand up for MoLeg? No way. My guess is they pass it next year and that's still plenty of time to help fund an Arrowhead 2.0 in MO.

They also have deals in certain states with DraftKings.

Yeah my idea wasn't an actual sports book but if you themed it showing lines and stuff on screens, everybody would be betting on their phone.

A sports book in P&L would be sick

Governor Kelly will sign the bill and it's done. Millions of $ into a Chiefs stadium fund, and now able to entice the Chiefs with legal gambling in its state. Huge, huge win for KS over MO. Missouri decided today they didn't want to pass it.
Enough money to even entice the Royals?
😀

Oh sure. Best way to make sure the women of Kansas City stay away.
Who wants to hang out with a bunch of men with gambling problems watching games on every TV and no music?

“I think one of the most important things that we’ll learn is whether, structurally, Arrowhead can go another 25 or 50 years,” said Hunt
Hunt seems to imply they'd like to stay at Arrowhead across the article, unless the structure isn't in good enough shape to go another 25+ years.

I think only two options are gonna be renovate the current Arrowhead, or move to Kansas. I don't think they're staying at TSC and building a new stadium on the Kauffman site.

Have you guys seen the rendering of the Village West proposal that was floating around for a minute? I can't find it now for some reason (maybe it was not supposed to get leaked?) but the field looked really narrow.

That’s nothing like these modern places. It’s basically a great sports bar with gambling. It’s not corny or full of men betting. It’s just another feature of the venue.
