Not quite the same thing as predicting total meltdowns for OU/UT. And predicting KSU would be "better" even w/out WJ isn't quite the same as predicting #5 in the country better. Pat on the back though.

Why do you keep quoting yourself?TheBigChuckbowski wrote:
Looks like a good lineup. Should be entertaining. Two 1/2 seeds from this year. I think "Bracketology" has the Zags at a 5 and Marquette at a 8/9 (I'd switch those around). Regardless - should be a good opportunity for KSU to get some quality wins early on a "neutral" court.TheBigChuckbowski wrote: http://www.kstatesports.com/ViewArticle ... =204901133

I'm not dumb enough to make stupid predictions about things I don't know anything about. Maybe that's why you aren't seeing those crazy bold predictions from me.LenexatoKCMO wrote: Not quite the same thing as predicting total meltdowns for OU/UT. You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in 'Nam of course.

Maybe I shouldn't skip those high school reunions after all. I had no idea there were any alumni with that kind of career success.

Great lineup for the CBE, who always seem to do a great job attracting quality programs for a preseason tourney.

Does it ever get tiring being wrong concerning KSU?LenexatoKCMO wrote: Too good, no . . . Too expensive, apparently yes.
And its not Hawk fans making that call, its your own AD budget. Miami, FSU, etc. probably dont have frankly have as good a bball tradition as KSU . . . but they also probably didn't just lay off half their athletic departments and have to come up with a pile of cash to pay off their shady former Fball coach.

I am sure it took a hell of a lot of effort to squeeze those boosters the last couple weeks. Good thing Martin wanted to stay.KCPowercat wrote: Does it ever get tiring being wrong concerning KSU?

Hey bully for them that they got it done - but clearly this took way more time and drama than it ought to have. There has been zero indication that his demands were ever remotely out of line. At least it didn't drag on as a distraction the next couple weeks.KCPowercat wrote: wow...sticking to your guns. Give up.

no it didn't. They always said end of year. Why do people swallow whatever KK feeds them? I know it's great ammo for haters and all but damn.

Saying "end of year" doesn't make it smart to actually wait till March- unless you are 100% confident that nothing can possibly persuade him to leave. Its playing with fire.

you are aware it takes both sides to complete a deal, correct?
no matter...it got done exactly as needed despite KK and his followers trying to make some big deal out of nothing.

Re: KU v. KSU week discussion (pics, snide remarks, predictions)
It's a very wierd season. Hard to tell who is good and who isn't. UT lost to UCLA who lost to KSU but also lost to Sanford and Cal (Cal is probably good, Sanford is probably not). I think we need to totally disregard any preconcieved notion of who is good and who isn't based on performances from any year prior to 2010.KCPowercat wrote: well I'll take 4-1 suck over 2-2 suck.....and you haven't even played anybody GOOD yet.
One thing for sure, the number 1 and 2 teams in the nation have remarkably weak resume's. Ohio State's is marginally better than Missouri's (if better at all; OK at least they have won on the road...once) and Oregon's is equally unimpressive.
