Went to a private party last weekend where the chef was sampling the menu. Should be great!

Talked to someone who works with top golf "corporate" and these are supposed to be pretty advanced golf simulators. Play any course in the world, extra games like dodgeball.

Always thought a bar down there was a good idea. Glad it's happening.

Great to hear it will be public. I walked by a couple weeks ago and asked the construction guys and they thought it was to be private. Will also fill in some gaps in that section of downtown. The semi-underground aspect will also add a nice dynamic.

Speaking of underground, that part of downtown is known for having cavern like underground space during the speakeasy days. Are there any viable spaces left that could be made into Manifesto style cocktail joints?

There are linked basements in Delaware in the river market. Always thought one of those would be great for a speakeasy

Looking forward to how this turns out. Between this becoming a public space and Oppenstein Park on the other corner of this block along Walnut, this could create a hotspot in this part of downtown.

The Clubhouse Experience will include six golf simulators using Top Golf licensed technology that also can be adapted to a variety of virtual games including hockey, basketball and even dodgeball with zombies.

There also will be two full shuffleboard courts.

Todd Walline will be the chief culinary officer of its food and beverage operation. There will be a 140-seat bistro-style restaurant and a large bar and cocktail area.

The operation plans to run shuttles, an eight-passenger golf cart and six-passenger Polaris ATV, between Clubhouse Experience and downtown hotels.

How would there be any noise? I'm sure the lowest main floor of the tower is the amenity floor with the gym, patio, etc., and this being virtual suites (I'm sure its the same system used in The Grand) there should be no noise.

There is a large patio where people will congregate. the sound will travel upward, also echo off of UMB an Town Pavilion no doubt. Just an observation.

I have a problem with people complaining a out noise when they live in an urban environment. Tthats like saying you don't want to hear traffic and such like you do.

Good grief! There's a might difference between the typical noise from "traffic and such" that's part of any urban environment vs. unregulated noise from outdoor entertainment venues. In fact, feel free to swing by my place on a Friday evening where the bass from the trash being played at "KC Live!" by "Shaq Diesel" et al causes your floors/walls to shake and your child's ears are treated to the crystal-clear--and I mean crystal-clear[/i]--likes of, "If you ain't come to party get the fuck out the club" repeated ad nauseam past 1 AM.

Then let's talk about said problem of yours.

Deciding to rent a place next to Power and Light with shitty noise insulation seems like a problem for you and your landlord.

White noise generators can help. I don't notice police/fire/ambulance sirens anymore. The downside though is you may become dependent on white noise to sleep, a challenge when traveling.

Winix air cleaners are great to use as both air cleaner that happen to be a soothing white noise generator in turbo mode....

When traveling, I play this on my laptop/tablet overnight in hotel but can work at home too. The bigger the speakers the better so not very effective with phone...

That sounds like the soundtrack to half the scary movies I've seen this year. I'd be afraid it would give me nightmares, like of Scarlett Johansson leading me, nekid, into a pool of oil.
