Are they going to have to seat delivery of food like the two previous theaters did or just traditional carry in food? I assume alcohol is available to carry in.

I'm going to try this, but I'm not optimistic.

Yeah high hopes wasn't the right phrase. I don't have high hopes this will be much but hopeful I'm wrong.

Looks like menu trying to appeal to the iceberg wedge, chicken tenders as an entree crowd to med wraps/naan flatbread/strips, appropriate for broad spectrum of movie goers.

Not as good of a name as Chesterfield Club and Kill Devil Club.

It's the same restaurant as their other theater (Liberty B&B). I have been to the B&B Johnnie's once and had a Philly. To be honest, I had low expectations but it was not bad at all. Pretty empty during lunch, but apparently it does decent dinner business. It's supposedly more focused as a stand alone establishment with live music than the AMC Dine-Ins which is just the in-theatre dining.

i've seen lights on and fans spinning and heard noises inside flying saucer regularly for the past month or so. also saw some guy across the street talking on the phone and looking at it saying something like "well what would it take to put a sign on the outside? .... no i'm looking at it right now!"

would anyone like to join me in starting up the rampant speculation machine?

Can you tell if the decor (other than the plates) is still in place inside?

Given how badly Cordish wanted to close the Saucer after it became a franchised location, I'm surprised they didn't have a plan already in place as to what they wanted in that spot to replace it.

there is a black film on the windows fronting walnut that blocks most of the view. walls seem about the same color. i haven't cared enough to walk up the steps and openly peek, but i walk past it 4+ times a day so that could happen any minute now.

Nothing has changed inside Saucer besides the plates being gone. Won't be mexican but there are a few local brands looking at the space, one of which would be a new to market concept for them.

The comment above about Cordish wanting to be done with Saucer isn't true. Saucer didn't make any money for years, couldn't pay rent and the landlord was forced to take it over for the remainder of the lease. Of course, they had no interest in running a failing concept.

That would be great but it's a storefront away from Guy Fieri's taco joint (or whatever it's called - if it's still in business?)

Guys Dive continues to do well but I suspect a change of menu soon. They should kick the taco only concept. This also prepares them for when a Mexican restaurant does finally open in the district which is a high priority.
