Was downtown today (live in Warrensburg for school) and everyone I saw was parked perfectly inside the lines and the "thin" spots were just left empty. Must have scared them into it.

One item to worry about would be a heavy snowstorm leaving a snow pile along the curb so that a car couldn't park close to it.

Will the streetcar do any testing during the Big 12 tourney? I'm interested to see how it flows through a big event and closed streets.

^Would be wise to do that, and also showcase the streetcar to visitors, and especially the Big 12 location decision makers.

11th and Main, go to the upper level of the garage next to the transit center. climb on a car and climb onto the roof of the walkway over Main.
Union Station has the same over the wire point but it's going to be much harder to get there. Maybe from the far end at the hotel where it's at ground level but it's much farther and the person is seriously drunk.

Is it wrong that I thought about this?

I should point out being electrocuted is unlikely. (this is the pee on the third rail mythbusters clip. the electrical danger is comparable if an easier target)

In the long run, a plan to extend the sidewalks out over the 'parking spots' would be nice.

Add in trees and maybe green areas?

Trees could have a problem with the wires. Long-term they'll look all ugly trimmed. I would rather see more like a sidewalk cafe with canopies. Trees on numbered streets, active uses on Main

Good point on the trees (duh!)

Wider sidewalks would be great. In lieu of trees some other bushes or flowers would be nice.

I love the Crossroads but it sometimes seems like a barren wasteland.

trees will not be banned from the streetcar alignment. last i heard, they were trying to figure out which species would be best suited.

Palm trees, sequoias or baobabs. Get the canopy above the caternary!

I vote for removing the tree wells from 12th-14th so there is more space to walk. But let's plant tons of trees along the rest of the route. I just need more walking space on those blocks, particularly the east side.
