I had really hoped that Bunch would deliver a relaxing of zoning to allow for missing middle in at least the core. Has not happened and does not appear to be discussed. Probably the single greatest act to support affordability. Even then, new construction missing middle probably isn't going to pencil out for 5% AMI "true affordable"
There's a counterpoint that while Shields may be pro-development, her working methods make people reluctant to partner with her unless they absolutely have to. Someone less pro-development but better at building relationships may get more done.

Right. Laughable

Or, would be laughable, if it weren't so sad to lose a project of this scale in the heart of midtown. Surely it will be back in some form...

On why KC could use a strong research university... Columbus is getting a $20B Intel chip fab that could grow to $100B, working closely with OSU...

Kristina M. Johnson, president of The Ohio State University. “They will also be integral to a wide range of applications in which Ohio State is actively involved from a research perspective, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, vaccine development and more. So, it’s a natural fit for Ohio State

Downtown Council has formed its own set of 10-year goals for downtown...

While they are all on right track at a higher level there needs to be more infill along streetcar line sooner than later. It's a little disappointing that after several years of streetcar running there are still many surface lots directly along the line with no plans. RM is an exception though.

Just spitballing here but that might get better once the Main St part is done. Because more people will be able to funnel into the Crossroads. It’s still a short line right now and is just circulating- not funneling yet.
