I am so happy this development got done. I was very worried this building would be demolished.

I passed by this building every day for years and it's so satisfying to see this.

The former Jewel Box space on Troost is still there, just waiting for someone to buy the building and revive it.

Decided to rent out one of the units for a weekend trip to KC at the end of May. I'll post a review here when done. Hoping it's nice.

In the meantime, if anyone has recommendations where I can take my drone up, send them my way via Private Message. I'll do my best to fulfill requests in the Downtown area since I was prevented from doing so in December.

What was the strip club just north of the Monarch? Thought that was the Jewel Box.

Thanks. I could have sworn there was a lounge just north of the Monarch. Little one story building. Guess my memory's not so good.

I wonder if they still plan garage with senior housing above for the north lot. Impressive this leased out well ahead of Westport/Broadway building. Don't recall, is it all market rate or some affordable?

1. I imagine they’d dump the senior housing component and go for more typical market rate apartments.
2. These are all market rate from what I can tell based on the lease rates.

Good to hear this one has filled up. Especially after seeing how the building was prior to renovation and the fears that it would be demolished, this is a welcome statistic.
