Lots of question marks with KU this year. I may change my mind after a couple games.
I agree with that. 8-4 KSU, and 3 or 4 win KU. The offense won't be terrible, but the entire viability of the team knocking someone off they shouldn't will be based on whether or not their defense allows Bo Jackson Super Tecmo Bowl TDs on every play.

Overall, I think the difference between a 10-2 season out of the Big 12 and a 7-5 season will be as narrow as ever. It wouldn't shock me if KSU captures some of the magic they had last year and wins 9 or 10, but I really don't know what to make of the TCU and WVU wildcards.

I could see KSU going anywhere from 11-1 to 7-5.

The only loss I will guarantee is @ OU and the only wins I will guarantee are Missouri State, North Texas, and KU. of the remaining 9, it could be interesting.

Miami (W)
@ ISU (W) (but ISU always does squirrely things at home, see OSU upset last year)
@ WVU (L) (prognosticators say they're good. Time will tell if they're for real)
Tech (W)
OSU (W) (lose a lot from last year but good coach, good team depth)
@TCU (W) (good reputation, on the road, but I've heard they lost a lot from last year and are going to have a down year)
@ Baylor (W) (lost a lot from last year, but program is doing good job recruiting, depth is probably good)
UT (W)

I want to know who produces these. When I saw the 1st one, I just thought this dude was a KSU version of a typical Nebraska fan, filming himself in his living room.

But, the linked video is clearly professionally produced, or at least the work of college film students. And it's gotta be scripted. That material is f'n hilarious.

So, KState appears to be quite good. Or Miami sucks. I dunno. Don't care either. We've got the backups in with 10 mins left in 4th, up 45-6. Backup freshman QB Daniel Sams just ran for 2nd TD in as many games.

I think the most depressing thing to that game would be Crist giving it away....

Huge mancrush on Sams. Wow.

Fun game and other games this weekend.....fun to see all the turncoats lose at once. Games like Arkansas and Wisconsin and OkState were just icing on the cake.

I'd like to say he's a rich man's Jordan Webb, but that may be a bit generous. Dude looks comfortable in the pocket, and he has a great arm, but his accuracy sucks. Not that he has good receivers to throw to, but he's failed to hit his target far too many times. Weis didn't help the situation either, by going away from the run late in the game.

I was hoping to see him throw, but the running ability is definitely there. At the skill position, the future is bright on offense. I hope that we can come close to replacing Arthur Brown on defense, or at least upgrade at enough positions to mitigate his loss next year.

Yep, Crist gave me some hope that perhaps they really had a blue chip recruit at QB, and having a good QB can make a huge difference. But I guess we see why ND fans hate him so much. Big disappointment.

Charlie Weis is an idiot. We win that game if he leaves Matthews in at QB. We probably are sitting at 4-0 or 3-1 if Crist isn't our starting QB. That guy sucks!!! :x :x :x :x :x

I did not get to follow that game today. Set the scene for me. What was the game changer? I just know it was close, and KU had the ball with approx. 2 minutes left. I have no idea what happened in that game.

KU had a 10 point lead in the 4th qtr. They had Matthews in there running the option, which he does well. Gaining yards left and right. Then Weis decides to put Crist back in and he shits himself. Can't complete a pass to save his life. Misses wide open receivers. Basically we had that game won and Weis went away from what was working (Matthews at QB), because his ego is too big to admit that Crist is a bust.
