Sadly, we are at a point now where for an entire generation of fans (myself included), this is not a positive.  I have seen nothing but mediocre and terrible (save 2003) baseball at the K.  That is nothing for me to get emotional about.

Don't forget the chainlink fencing, the asphalt paving, and that classy hot tub.  Everytime they show that shot on the jumbotron of Slugger sitting out there in the tub with his stinky fur suit on I can only think of the germs.

I actually do remember all the glory years.  I was at the 7th game in 1985 as a kid and we had season tickets all through the 1980s.  But, I just think it's time to start some new memories.  I'm tired of living in 20 years ago.  Build a new stadium downtown, spend some money on the team and get respectable, at least.

i agree completely.  if anything the new tradition of losing has helped remove kauffman from its old status of "save at all cost" to "relocate immediately"!
