Does this sidewalk go anywhere other than the (wannabe) rock climbing wall?

That's up to the city to remove, as far as I know. They insisted it be gargantuan in size and built around the columns, despite it being the lowest ridership on the original Main MAX alignment.

There's a door at the end, so probably an emergency exit.

Is there not even going to be a stop there?

Nope! Conventioneers -- should they ever come back -- can walk along the wonderfully denuded 14th Street to the streetcar. Thanks, W&R!

Couldn't even screen the entire parking garage. Half assed through and through on this project.

Why would most do that? The main exits from most buildings in the convention district are along 13th. The hotel would have quicker access via Truman of 16th from the lower exit door

They're all ugly walks, so pick your poison.

Missed those. Saw it and remember it being a point of discussion in this thread.

I'll say again. It's half assed. It only covers half of the parking floors along Baltimore.

Looked as if they'll all be covered, but I wasn't completely focused.

I bet they would get paid to do this so the odds certainly isn't zero.

Army Corps of Engineers asks construction companies to equip buildings for COVID-19 patients

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is looking ahead in the COVID-19 fight to find places to house patients.

The Department of Defense sent out an "informational/marketing" request to see if any Kansas or Missouri construction companies have the capabilities and qualifications to configure preexisting buildings for patient care.

Possible buildings include hotels and convention centers, according to the request.

Potential work listed includes removing carpeting, revising HVAC equipment and ducting to accommodate HEPA filtration, adding nurse's stations, privacy curtains, and patient screening areas.
