I guess so. While I’m not against the overall design, I am disappointed by the lack of nighttime architectural lighting. Even with their light systems on the hotel is a dark mass in front of an otherwise bright skyline.

Could we possibly lobby them to add some down the road? Or has that ship sailed?

How cool could they have made some light art with about 200 more of those?

Yeah, yeah. Still a missed opportunity of blank walls, solid doors, and car holes.

I don’t know how long it’s been there since I haven’t been on I-35 after dark in a bit but the new Chiefs lighting on the west side of the hotel was a nice surprise on my drive home tonight. (Wasn’t able to get a pic due too… driving.)

I was pleased to see the entrance at Truman and Baltimore. It is funny to me though that this is (obviously) a secondary entrance but I suspect will be fairly high traffic as conventioneers are drawn towards P&L in the evenings.

The bike racks are numerous but, alas, have been installed along Truman(!?).

Yeah that jump lobby on Baltimore will be very busy. Is there an escalator up to main lobby? Elevators only would be annoying af

Yep. Has been discussed here when the drawings came out.

I'll have to take a closer look.

Elevators only but they go to all the room levels. It's not a separate elevator just to the lobby

I think I'd rather take an escalator to the lobby, then elevators to the rooms. Not to be all doom and gloom, but seems like anyone wandering around on the street could just slip in, take an elevator to floor X and wait around for an unsuspecting victim.
