Bannister is playing damn well.  If Grienke can turn into a consistant starter again, we might have a legit three man rotation.  Not sure if we will be able to get a 4 or 5 but hey, better than the last few years with no legit starters!

Bannister got extremely lucky last night.  You don't normally win games when you're averaging two baserunners per inning.  Not to take anything away from him, as he is having a good season, but last night's game is one time when he wasn't playing damn well, but was getting damn lucky instead.  First time since 1959 that a team has racked up 16 hits and only scored three runs -- and the last time, it was the Tigers again, facing the KC Athletics.

It is really sad b/c Meche pitched really well. If you can limit a team to 3 runs in an outing you did a good job. Meche and Bannister continue to lead the league in smallest run support.
