I believe the street signs say it’s pay by plate. I’ll take a look.

Do we still have any pay kiosks in KC that require taking the receipt back to the car? The kiosks on Walnut are the only ones I've used and they are pay-by-plate.

By my count we are at 3 months. Any news?ToDactivist wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 3:26 pm Yes, I'll scope those out. have really already designed these next 7 units along Wyandotte so we have a motivation to bring in that diversity. May know within 2-3 months. Just didnt want to drag anyone out any longer on anticipation. Messy infill due to parking requirements - of course. We are opposed to a garage - of course.
As to the liquor thing...yes, that is us. stay tuned.

River Market Lands New Office Tenant
https://cityscenekc.com/river-market-la ... ce-tenant/WSP USA, an international engineering firm, has opened a 42-person office in the River Market, encouraging news at a time when downtown officials are striving to attract more private employers.
The firm has leased space in the 3Y building at 300 Wyandotte, bringing it close to 90 percent occupancy. The former Populous building opened in 2005, but was left mostly vacant when the sports architecture firm relocated to new digs in the South Plaza in 2015.

I am sure Missouri will give him everything he asked for. We can’t let Tennessee beat us with their boat museum!! (Noah’s Arc Encounter)
That’s enough to build quite a few elementary schools or a few BRT lines or a new building or 3 at U of Missouri or maybe 1 enterchange.Plans for a proposed $100 million museum of steamboat history...
^^^ I would honestly rather use this for highways than this dude’s personal boat museumThe bill calls for an additional $1 fee to be added to the $2 fee Missouri riverboat casinos already pay for each customer.
^^^ cool concept. Doesn’t stop the fact that no one will visit. No one visits now and your in the biggest city in the state. Can’t see how middle of nowhere Missouri is gonna support this place. And I’d like to dig one boat from each decade of river travel,” Hawley said. “The Arabia would tell the story of the 1850’s. The Malta, the next boat we’d like to dig, would tell the story of the 1840’s.”
^^ haven’t heard that line before. This line makes me loose what respect I had for him.(much was lost in his being a bad RM tenant/guest. This man is an actual joke. I’m sure he is just deeply passionate about the steamboats(comes off as a scammer) but he needs to be realistic. And if it can’t be here and the legislation doesn’t work out in Jeff City, then we’ll be calling Pittsburgh and saying ‘let’s cut a deal,'" he said.

As part of the bill they should say that no money can be taken out of the museum or any government funded operations without reimbursing the state.
That family would run away in record time.

The guy is not a scammer, this has literally been his whole life.
That being said, MO/KC should call their bluff. It will wither and die in Jeff City. No idea about Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't call him a scammer, but he does this shit like every year. And sometimes they come pretty close to the line.
If the state is paying for it, I want it to be state property.

For perspective, the cost of the 2006 WWI Museum was $102 million. They want roughly the same amount of money for the Arabia as a national war museum.

They sell a lot of artifacts and invest almost nothing in the museum as well.
Remember that it'll be further subsidized by schools and other local government crap.
Let him go.

Not saying he is a scammer. Just saying the situation(giving this dude $100million in public money for what’s essentially his family business) and the way he talks about it “give me money or I will go to PA” do not paint him in a good light.
