Re: TSC Renovations
I notified the Royals of a large crack that I saw on the gate B spiral ramp. Other than that the stadium looked good.

Re: TSC Renovations
I hope it was just because it was opening day, but the place really felt like a giant bar full of tail chasers. The whole place was packed but no one could stay in their seats. A little T-Pain and it would of been alot like Skybox. Lot of PDA up in the diamond club.
It is nicer though, but I will miss yellow cheese on my nachos...

White Castle should become a stadium vendor? They would make a killing.

Re: TSC Renovations
70% done?!?!? For whatever reason I thought they were supposed to be completely done by this fall.
Arrowhead Stadium upgrade on track for opener
Jim Rowland, executive director of the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, told the Jackson County Legislature that the stadium should be 70 percent complete for the Kansas City Chiefs? opener, as planned.
?Arrowhead is a flurry of activity, trying to get ready for the Aug. 15 opening,? Rowland said.
A monthly construction report delivered by Rowland detailed that lower portions of the upper concourse will not be completed for the 2009 season, along with lounge areas on the club level.

I was at the game yesterday, and saw that they were testing out the new scoreboard at Arrowhead.

Were they adding an additional digit to the visitor's side?KCRoyal wrote: I was at the game yesterday, and saw that they were testing out the new scoreboard at Arrowhead.

Re: TSC Renovations
Are they going to paint the back of the crown scoreboard blue? I've seen renderings with the blue scoreboard with the "KC" logo on it.
But, it seems in more recent renderings, there is no logo. What's the deal with that? I will miss not having the logo on the back!
I know they are not done yet, but I didn't know if they are still planning on putting the logo on there.

One thing about the new stadium that bugs me is the wall scoreboards. They are just way too tacky for my tastes.
I think they would be great if they just kept the out of town scores on them and maybe a few classy ads, but they are always changing and always full of very loud and ugly ad graphics. It looks horribly most of the time.
Can we ever just get a nice permanent out of town scoreboard?

Re: TSC Renovations
The back has looked terrible the last two years. It looks a little better this year compared to looking at the inside of the scoreboard, but it still needs to be painted. All indications say that they will do that this coming offseason.AllThingsKC wrote: Are they going to paint the back of the crown scoreboard blue? Is it going to be complete? Or is only going to open with Phase 1 ready, have no landscaping, and they decide 5 minutes ago that they're open for business?KCMax wrote: The Royals Hall of Fame will open this Friday.

Dateline - Kansas City, Mo.
Just in. Royals Bullpen to be replaced with "Bullpen Experience Seat". Your $50 ticket enters you in a random chance to enter the game as a relief pitcher.
David Glass thinks it's a win/win for the Royals and their fans. "Should be hit for the fans, a new revenue stream, and have no effect on the Royals winning percentage." Plus the payroll savings will be tremendous.

I was driving by Arrowhead today and they were testing both football-shaped video boards. It looked pretty awesome. Of course, by the time I got my camera out to take a picture of it, they stopped testing.
