So odd that this facade is still untouched. Either not leased or a tennant that is going to do its own specialized facade? It is the only uncomplete storefront on 14th.

Annie, did you just ask the workers to be there? I'm wondering, because if so, I want to try that too.

Bizarre -- I'll have to try this. I've been bitched at so many times for having a camera in other places that it has made me tentative.KansasCityCraka wrote: I just walk in and no one ever cares lol.

Re: P&L District: 14th & Walnut Site Proposal
I asked how far down the sidewalk down walnut I could go and he told me to go anywhere I wanted. So I thouroghly enjoyed myself looking around and taking pictures. I guess it was the fact that it was a Sunday coupled with the fact that not very many people were working on the project today. It was an enjoyable experiance. I usualy just ask before I go in.

I have only had problems circling the SC trying to take pictures. The security guards don't mind if I take pictures of it but tell me that I need to hurry along b/c it could be considered ''loitering'' and they could get in trouble if I don't keep on moving.Tosspot wrote: Bizarre -- I'll have to try this. That reminds me of the security guards in front of the Federal Reserve on Grand. Without fail if you are on the sidewalk with a camera, a guard will come out just to verify that you're not a terrorist. The upper management numbnuts make the guards do this I guess, so that the management doesn't look lazy. But really all it does is make the jobs of the security guards harder.KansasCityCraka wrote: I have only had problems circling the SC trying to take pictures. Tosspot, you might want to shave your Islam-mandated beard, or shed the birka-clad companion.
The guards are also edgy around the Federal Courthouse and at City Center Square.

And at City Hall too! I tried to walk in there with a bomb one day, and they treated me like I was terrorist!FangKC wrote: The guards are also edgy around the Federal Courthouse and at City Center Square.
And that's how I got appointed to the Parks Board.

"Management" at the federal facilities in KC are probably more scared of some TV news expose on lax security than an actual terrorist photographer - hence they go through the motions.Tosspot wrote: That reminds me of the security guards in front of the Federal Reserve on Grand. If they don't want people taking pictures of buildings, they should stop building them out where everyone can see them!
