Re: Beacon Hill
I also noticed a lot of dirt was being moved on many other parcels in the overall area--especially south of Beacon Hill Lane and north of 27th Street between Troost and Tracy. It looked like more lots were being prepared on Forest Avenue especially.

Re: Beacon Hill
The new apartment buildings on 27th are mostly bricked-up. Workers were out there yesterday working.

Re: Beacon Hill
I know there have been some whispers of a hotel project on Beacon Hill for a while, but John Hoffman confirmed he is working on a new hotel at 24th and Troost.
Seems like an odd location to me, but perhaps there is a built in market tied to Hospital Hill.
I'm glad to see Hoffman's commitment to the Troost corridor. In another quote from the article, he said: “If we can develop Troost, we can develop the whole east side.” I know Hoffman has his fair share of critics and even enemies, but I think the city could use a few more developers like him.

Re: Beacon Hill
It would have decent highway visibility and access via Campbell or Tracy from 22nd.

Re: Beacon Hill
This is an update photo showing the two finished houses at 26th and Tracy.
This is a new house being constructed on Tracy south of 24th Street, and just north of Beacon Hill Lane (25th St.).

Re: Beacon Hill
I don't understand why they don't just build 1000 more things just like that everywhere.
