Oh really, come on! The man at the bus stop on Tuesday told me that "before the Second Coming the seasons would meet". It certainly felt spring-like that day...but now I'm not worried. We can put off the End until 2060 as Isaac Newton had predicted.KC0KEK wrote: The end is near! Repent!

Re: The Official Kansas City Weather Thread
Gary was at least right. The fox dude Mike Thompson missed the boat on the ice yesterday, and last night he was saying little if any snow. He's been way off. Still pissed about Gary having the most accurate forecast in the metro, I guess.

Mike Thompson misses snow predictions a lot. Remember a year or 2 ago when he predicted a light dusting and we woke up with a foot of snow? Yeah, I'm 100% down with the "Chair with Wheels Weather"

Sorry, I didn't know there was already a weather thread in the General Kansas City forum. I can't delete this thread though. ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Re: The Official Kansas City Weather Thread
They have backed off on the seriously deep snow forecasts.
My hubby just drove home from Emporia where there was a blizzard. Ran out of it before Topeka. It started to snow a bit here about an hour ago, but now has stopped.
I'm making the world's largest pot of chili (you know mine is better than STL Dan's) and we are staying in.
I have to join the commuters tomorrow AM, but I'm not too worried. The main roads are clear and dry.
It was only slick and nasty for a couple of hours yesterday and then again for a few hours this AM.
Go slow and follow the directions I left in another thread. You will be fine.

We've got a giant pot of homemade chicken soup simmering downstairs. A big bowl of that, some hot coffee, and the Ravens-Bengals game in HD - I'm set for the evening.

That's funny, downtown is getting hammered with tons of snow. And a few miles north in Riverside, there is not a single flurry!
