Definitely moving, thanks for the update.
KC Region is all part of the same animal regardless of state and county lines.

The north-facing wall of this block is starting to go in...visible in the web-cam.

Appears to a single story structure with a faux two story facade! Is this the Branson strip?

I have no doubt that much of the P+L will look quite "Vegasy." I have yet to see a Cordish development that is modest or understated.moderne wrote: Appears to a single story structure with a faux two story facade! Is this the Branson strip?

Not sure where you're seeing that, when you walk up to the site there are quite clearly two levels being constructed inside the building. Also what looks like a mezzanie in one part of it.

Seems like the Nelson Art Gallery, again. Judgement before the product is finished. Everyone has an opinion, but let's see the damn product first.

I am confident the final product will look good, ^ although I am still not a fan of the Nelson expansion.

Re: P&L District: 14th & Walnut Site Proposal
I just looked at the Webcam and got goosebumps. While it may not be the design or density I would have chosen if I had control of the world, I like it much better than the surface lots it is growing out of. I was a young guy during the last boom downtown in the 80's and little has happened since until now. Life's too short to defer activity until the perfect project comes along, because it could have been another 25 years.moderne wrote: Appears to a single story structure with a faux two story facade! They already have the bricks stacked and positioned on scaffolding along on the North wall. Should start on it any day now.QueSi2Opie wrote: I want to see bricks!!!

will the extreme cold delay the brick installation?
Are you sure we're talking about the same God here, because yours sounds kind of like a dick.

Could since they won't pour concrete here at the View parking garage untill it gets over 40. Would make sense that mortar would be similar.

they've been installing brick behind those giant plastic drops that cover the north facade of the building just south of the HRB building.

Looks like masonry is going up on the west side of the block.
