What is that inset open space mid-block on Baltimore? Is it going to be a courtyard? Or is that going to be the lobby space for the future building to be constructed atop the retail structures?

So is that the remaining vacant parcel on the NW corner of 14th and Main east of the President Hotel?

No, that construction hasn't started. Just the garage on that block is going up now.
This area is listed as a bookstore and other retail.

Putting the bookstore between three theaters, and near several big hotels is very, very wise. People coming and going to movies, plays, and music performances will hang out there. I used to frequent the Virgin Megastore on Union Square before going to the movies located in the same building. Always bought something.

I wonder if the "other retail" in the same building (hopefully) the bookstore will be in will be the location of CVS (if they are, in fact, moving into the district).

Why would CVS want to move here? I don't understand. Their current location is surrounded by four large office buildings. That site would be across the street from H&R Block -- that's it. One would have to walk past the grocery store to get to CVS from any of the other major office buildings. It doesn't sound like a wise business move to me.Stockton wrote: I wonder if the "other retail" in the same building (hopefully) the bookstore will be in will be the location of CVS (if they are, in fact, moving into the district).

Check out the rumors room.....they have been neglecting the 10/main location...if they do move, which I think is very possible considering CVS/Cordish past...I hope Walgreens et. al. replace them in the same location....because they do a great business there...or they wouldn't have stayed open for so long.lock+load wrote: Why would CVS want to move here? On this block....I think the bookstore will go midblock on the eastern half of the block...right in the alley....a CVS would probably go on the NE corner of this block.

All materials and equipment have been moved out from the SE corner and it is completely clear. Looks like getting ready for construction.

I think that it is going to be a loading area. The future lobby of the 2nd H&R Block building is going to be on the Main St side.

Is The H&R block building directly on the left in this picture. And if so, that looks like alot of room from the front of the shops to the side of the H&R building for just a sidewalk and street.MightyKC wrote:

And there is still another building to be built in that open space.
