I'll reserve my judgement until it is totally finished, but I am really disappointed thus far.

The end result is nothing like the original renderings. too much pavement, not enough green space! I thought the street was going to get a lot less wide as well.

Are any trees going to be planted? Trees would help so much.

It is amazing what a dramatic, positive effect simply planting a ton of trees (strategically placed) would have on downtown, and the urban core as a whole.

And re: 20th Street, I thought the finished project did include new street trees - I certainly hope so.

Trees are coming. In the latest update they said something about not planting them until late fall or something because they stand a higher chance of success.

That was just a normal summer shower. Happens just about monthly, I've heard.

Rieger flooded. Not a normal shower. Heard Manifesto had a foot of water and electrical boxes were popping.

yeah definitely not a normal shower....wonder if them being impacted had to do with the construction south of them not being done? Did Rieger get impacted or just Manifesto?

flooding happened all over the neighborhood. 4.5 inches in a few hours is extreme.

Was surprised to see the streetcar running in the rain the beginning of the night. Water was up to the curb tops at that point. Was followed by a pickup with flashing lights though. Perhaps they were just moving all the vehicles back to the garage.

20th Street will look better once the paving is done and the bike lanes are painted.

Glad to hear it. Tress may be all that's missing.

Is Baltimore, in the Freight House area, still scheduled for a sidewalk/landscape redo? I saw some nice plans for a variety of flowering trees to be plated there. Would be so great.

That I don't know. But that sounds lovely.

baltimore/wyandotte streetscape south of 20th is on hold for lack of funding. i'm sure ARTerra and the crossroads hotel will do some version of it in front of their properties.
