An ocean of broken concrete stretches from the interstate to the hills at the demolished Chrysler plant in Fenton. A lone road splits the 300-acre lot, surrounded by thousands of parking spaces.
Twenty miles north, an equivalent swath of land, but filled with corn fields and muddy roads, reaches from the new extension of Highway 141 toward the Missouri River in Maryland Heights.

And another 20 miles east from there, empty lots just north of the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis sit waiting for tailgaters.

Those are good images to keep in mind as the St. Louis Rams enter arbitration this week over the Dome. The three sites have long been discussed as possible homes for a new stadium — maybe even one for the Rams.
The Rams' "renovations" include razing half the stadium and replacing it with a glass. Hard to tell if that's intentionally over the top or not.

Raiders moved back to Oakland, guess the Rams could move back to LA. What other team will call LA home to share a stadium?

When's the soonest a stadium could be ready in LA? Where could they play until it's completed? Would people in LA care about a crappy team besides fans of the latest hot visiting teams?

I wouldn't rule out a move to London. Like it or not, the league has salivated over opening up the European market ever since NFL Europe folded. A team could move to LA and play at the Rose Bowl or the Coleseum until a new stadium could be built. Wembley Stadium was recently upgraded and could host an NFL team in London.

Any chance they move to KC? We'd love to have a professional football club, and we have a great stadium that is ready for a team.

the networks want a team in LA, Neilsen doesn't measure viewers on London

I think the Patriots would have a problem with the Rams relocating to Boston. Ditto for Green Bay/Milwaukee and Seattle/Portland. But the most upset would probably be the Panthers. I don't think Charlotte is big enough for two teams.

Then the St. Louis Dome can be the home of the largest Ross Dress 4 Less in the country.

But you have to admit that, spelling notwithstanding, the geography is impeccable.
