Yeah I've mentioned before that this could be a starter building in addition to Strata or building their own at say 7th/Main lots. But even a one building downtown presence would be good if Oracle intends a smaller presence than peak Cerner.

They may keep existing office at Bannister but rest ideally would be data centers and any new office presence downtown. The City will probably need to proactively pursue this as Oracle may not pursue it by default.

That shouldn’t even be that big of an ask given how many young people work for Cerner, and how many of them live right here in the urban core.

First picture is especially neat. Downtown KC is looking denser!

Sometimes I forget how big this space is to fill. Was thinking that it would make sense for BKG's new entity to take this building and begin building some name recognition. But they currently have a little over 300 employees in KC.

Waddell had 1,100 at their KS headquarters when they announced they'd move.

Oracle please! Not just for Cerner/Health division but as a general Oracle hub. The City could renegotiate Bannister site for data centers and as part of the conditions, they commit to expanding office use downtown rather than Bannister.

What's going on with this place now? Is it done and are they anywhere near finding a tenant?

They said it was gonna open up on April 1st a while ago

CBRE is marketing it as 1400KC. http://properties.cbre.us/1400kc/

"Anticipated occupancy opportunity Q3 2022" – a bit odd it doesn't show up on LoopNet or Crexi currently.

TCO issued on 4/29/22: https://compasskc.kcmo.org/EnerGov_Prod ... c04e00375a

^I like the metal tree boxes. They look nice. I guarantee I'll be the first to trip over one of them though. Beyond that, the landscaping looks nice on the main sides of it.

Turned out nice. What about that bare wall facing 670? Seems unfished.

Anticipated to eventually be blocked by loop cap park if I’m not mistaken

Two drone photos from today and some from tonight. I didn't notice that the roofline had a color light strip until tonight (guess it was the first time it was turned on). The recessed portions on the east and west sides also light up. It was also neat to get a peek inside the first floor lobby. As for the entrance flooring on the Baltimore Street side, it was slick after tonight's rain.

Totally agree. This has turned out way better than I thought it would. Would be a great location for a corporate HQ.

Great pics Chris!

The finishes in the lobby are elegant as well! Can't wait to see skyline shots with this building lit up though I'm sure you can only catch it from certain angles.
