the complex should be complete by middle of 05. The north tower now has it's scaffolding coming down, exposing an approx. 40 foot window on four sides....would that be a pimp bedroom or what?

Yea, would need to get some drapes or the entire city would be party to ones liasons. The floor plan will be a bit strange. I suspect that the floor below would be divided into two apartments, each extending upwards into the towers?KCPowercat wrote:the complex should be complete by middle of 05. only one tower will have somebody living in it. The south tower has elevator equipment in it.
There are 2 penthouses...one of the top floor and the 3 stories into the tower and the other is a floor below the top which will have the entire setback as their patio.

$1.2 million for a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment. Wowsa.
The $600,000 one-bedroom apt. is described as "ranch" style. I think that is funny.

I'll be surprised if they get that price for the biggest penthouse. They may be able to sell it some time in the future after downtown is more active again. If that building were on a hill above the Plaza, they could get that price with no problem. It would be a cool roost for an eccentric billionaire bachelor who likes to dress up like a bat.

Only one "full bath" for the million $$ penthouse?? I'd expect at least 3.

I believe this is being sold warm shell isn't it? So the buyer could decide the # of baths and bedrooms to an extent.

Insider scoop
THe property will open in full in August 05, but the residential may start to have occupancy in July. The lower condo space is under contract and there's been a tremendous amount of traffic for the upper unit. Yes, it will have as many bathrooms and bedrooms as the owner designs. It is about 6000 SF without the patio between the towers and without building a mezzanine. There are some really cool architect's renderings on the video that shows at City Center Square.
THe lights on the towers should be on permanently by next week. Just about all the windows have been replaced with insulated windows that match the profile of the originals. Drywall is complete down to about the 12th floor, painting down to about 20 and cabinets down to about 25.
Restoration of hte commercial space and the 929 building at 10th and Walnut is starting.
They will be participating in the Downtown Housing Tour in May this year with models open for viewing. THere is a lot of information at the marketing office at City Center Square and thye now have a person in the office all the time.

Thanks madwoodman! Welcome to the forum. I'm VERY curious about how this building is doing and this was an awesome update.
I can't wait for them to light the towers. I'm going to have to get down there to see them.

can't wait for the downtown homes tour. Will they be adding more lights than the ones on the top two tower peaks? I know in many renderings they had a lot of up lighting from the setbacks.

Once they turn the lights on, can someone get some photos and post them here? I would do it myself but can't figure out my camera it wont hook up to the computer anymore . When will the tour begin? Can we see the penthouses or only if they aren't sold?

Start the mad rush! The lights illuminating the green tops to the spires were on for the first time tonight. Quite a startling new addition to the skyline. The renderings show light effects on the actual stone work leading up to the green tops, but those lights were not on tonight.

Wow, that looks good! Not at all like what I was expecting. Can't wait to see it with lights on in most of the windows and hopefully some soft lighting on each setback.
