Does anyone know if there will be third-parties that manage these data centers going up, or if they will be run by Google, Edged Energy, etc. themselves? I am very much interested in applying for some of the IT positions in these locations, but I'm not sure where to apply. Thanks for any information that anyone has!

I believe this is a Google owned and operate data center. There will be Google and contractor rolls. Just look up how the existing Google and Facebook data centers work for guidance.

1,5 million SQFT under roof. How does that compare to Facebook?

That's not correct. Also, Facebook's 1st H- shaped building is slightly bigger than the new KCI terminal.

“Office and future phases” is interesting. Doubt anything exciting instead offices for the centers but one can hope.

Is Hunt Midwest entirely underground? It would be nice to have a Google regional office downtown.

This is all at the above ground warehouse area in the river bottom. Not at the subtropolis development nearby.

There is or was a small Google office on Broadway. Think mostly fiber related.

There are more data centers in the works in the Northland than the public seemingly knows about or I can find any articles on;)

Hopefully Evergy has been able to sort out their power delivery issues. Would have been wonderful if we had a branch of the new grain belt line directly down I29 to the northland.

Interestingly, co-generation with natural gas could be a new possibility given recent changes by the new admin. We also have Evergy filing to add more capacity over the coming few years.
Feb 27 (Reuters) - Evergy Inc's (EVRG.O), opens new tab pipeline of potential very large electricity customers, like data centers, has grown to 11.2 gigawatts (GW).

Evergy is finalizing agreements with another 1.6 GW of the pipeline. It is in advanced discussions with 2.9 GW of potential customers, and another 6 GW are in inquiry mode.
