Hub odometer says 67,641 miles. That passenger side hub is disconnected from wheel and sitting inside bus (see photos). Last recorded mileage in our records is 98,635. No charger included. Bus is currently plugged into charger and green light above charge port is blinking. Out of service due to unknown issue. We no longer have a diagnostic tool to test it and the manufacturer has gone bankrupt.

I wouldn't tell a friend to buy a used Fisker Ocean, even if they could get a screaming deal on it. For the same reasons, I wouldn't recommend KCATA buy these.

They selected the BRT alternative and alignment in 2013. A cautionary tale for our current mayor and city manager. They didn't have a funding mechanism until 2017.

With all the bus routes getting cut from all the suburbs cutting funding, surely KCATA has extra busses laying around now?

Just use those busses and start running an express bus from downtown to the airport (and joco can do the same if they want an express route). Why the damn need for more studies, more funding, more ridiculousness, more years of waiting. just find a few million in the cities $2+ billion budget to pay the bus driver salaries/bus maintenance and get it going next month....

With what funding? If you reallocate from the city's general fund, what would you cut? They could recoup the money that Public Works DIVERTS from the transit sales tax or take the $2 million from the streetcar TDD...

That's why this hasn't happened. It's not as easy as waving a wand.

IF they do have extra buses and staffing resources to drive & maintain why not start a paid shuttle service for the city to cover costs and maybe even be able to contribute dollars back to the general fund. In essence establish a park & ride facility for the airport like the other private groups but also allow for curbside drops & pickups of people just riding. But there is a ride cost and even have a parking cost for those wishing to park & ride. Have the cost be slightly less or match what private groups offer. People would use it knowing it was more convenient than driving all the way to the airport to do the same thing in essence.

Political will. If Mayor Q/Platte want it, they could find the money. They find 10s of millions for pet projects every year.

They find money for one offs. But committing indefinite funds for a low priority transit project is harder
