I can assure you that Nathan Willet is not a KCTenants member. He’s gone at it with them before and many of their members have publicly lashed out at him before. When he was running for City Council, I remember them prancing around saying “hell no” about Willet. Slapping the “KCTenants Member” badge on anyone who votes against something, especially when it’s not true, is lame.

Re: Four Light
For some reason I thought that said "Duncan", not "Willet". My mistake. Yes, Willet is certainly not KCT affiliated. I'm sure the KCT affiliated members basically hate Willet.Chris Stritzel wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 12:03 pmI can assure you that Nathan Willet is not a KCTenants member. Can they please do something besides put a big number on the building? It looks really tacky

Re: Four Light
They disagree with you. The got away from spelling it out as they feel it's classier to keep it simple with the number now that's it's well known they're all the "Light" buildings.
I think they should take the numbers and letters off all of them. More NYC style to just have the building name above the main lobby entrance.

Re: Four Light
The numbers as names are lazy and makes it seem like a housing project. Would have been classier to have individual names. Names could have ended with the word light or names could have been words associated the power and light. Themed like the poet buildings on the Plaza.

Re: Four Light
I like the numbers.
I have a longer post regarding some of the comments made by certain of the council members who seemingly fundamentally misunderstand (1) the state of KC development and (2) the purpose of incentives in a competitive, national development environment.
But I don’t have time for it today.

Re: Four Light
Some of the most expensive buildings in the world that sit in NYC are simply named after the address. “425 Hoyt” for example. I don’t think it’s laziness, it was a well thought out decision to go with this naming scheme that not everyone would agree to. I do still prefer the original plan to call them “Lumineer 1,2,3” etc.moderne wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:33 pm The numbers as names are lazy and makes it seem like a housing project. Regardless, theme is set and rolling now.

One of the most famous multi tower developments in New York City is a serious of numbers followed by a unified brand name.DColeKC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 8:40 amSome of the most expensive buildings in the world that sit in NYC are simply named after the address. “425 Hoyt” for example. Edit: the more I think, the more examples I remember

Information from this forum is often passed off to the right people. I can't verify how much of a influence it had on this decision or the color of the glass. At the end of the day, one guy is ultimately making these choices and he's based out of Baltimore. They are good about taking feedback.KCPowercat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 1:33 pmviewtopic.php?p=660469&hilit=smh#p660469Metro wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 1:29 pmWait whats the story with that?KCPowercat wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 3:39 pm
