HGTV Urban Oasis transformed a "West Waldo" home with $700,000 worth of improvements and is giving it away. Enter at HGTV.COM/URBAN. Lots of nice glamour shots of KC and KC themed decor and art.

Penny from the Big Bang may be in a HBO comedy titled Kansas City Star

Details about Kansas City Star are sketchy but it is described by sources as a comedy with heart starring Cuoco as a semi-famous actress who returns to her hometown to work with a regional theater troupe. Reps for HBO and WBTV declined comment.

CBS morning news broadcast today from CPKC stadium. Started at 6 a.m. so it was dark first hour then showed sunrise over stadium, river, and Bond bridge. Only side trip was to Dixon's Chili (ugh).

Hey now, Dixon's is pretty great... if you grew up with it and like it for what it is and know what to expect... ok, fair, that is kind of a lot of caveats.

For those children of the sixties, Torey Southwick passed at age 94. Wonder if they buried Ol' Gus with him?

Thanks for the notice. Many happy after-school afternoons thanks to Torey and Old Gus.
