We went through a hellish experience in Hartford (where I lived for a dozen years after NYC & Europe and after KC, and also served on the board) with the Wadsworth. Chick Austin had flexed office space in the 1930s expansion (when museums performed a far different function) in what was now needed for exhibition space. He was btw apparently quite a trip back in the day, but he did not foresee our particular problem.

Art is bigger now, and exhibitions also are bigger now. It's a real problem with museums.

^ it has been on and off the market dozens of times over the last few years and the price will fluctuate but generally decreases. One time, they listed it on MLS and forgot a zero. Someone, somewhere, is not very smart.
