This was Nick Cave's art installation down in Bentonville around the time he was commissioned to do the airport.

I was hoping for something much more like this. Turns out we got the Temu version.

What's there to maintain? Were they not secured properly and falling from the ceiling, impaling tourists waiting in the TSA line or something?

Cleaning? That was my first question when I saw it.

Or descended (from the ceiling), depending on your POV.

LaGuardia named best airport in the United States by Forbes Travel Guide
...
LaGuardia Airport was given the honor following its historic $8 billion renovation, taking it from once the nation's worst airports to now the best.

"This award from Forbes Travel Guide, recognizing LaGuardia as the best airport in the nation, is affirmation of all the hard work and resources that the Port Authority and our partners have invested to reimagine what LaGuardia could become," Port Authority Chairman Kevin O'Toole said in a statement. "Today, we are no longer imagining what our airports can become – we are realizing our goal to create world-class airports across our region."

This airport is incredibly nice. Have enjoyed every time I've flown in and out of it. Especially Terminal B and the lounges there.

That said, it's weird having to exit security and take a bus between terminals

^I believe that NY LaGuardia Terminal B (the old Central Terminal) and Terminal C (the former US Air and Delta areas) will be connected (not sure whether landside or airside) after construction of the Delta concourses completes. Terminal A (the old Marine Air Terminal) is separated by the runways and aprons, and it will never be connected for foot traffic (it's also more than a mile from the newer part)

Passengers from B & C terminals can connect to Terminal A using shuttle buses.

Don't know if someone commented already but Sept 2024 was the first September with over 1 million passengers at MCI.
